Phil has played key roles in developing the innovative products for many leading companies.
Phil has decades of experience in the development, manufacturing and marketing of consumer electronic products, as well as being a technology journalist and author. Phil began working with PCH as a client over ten years ago, and has mentored startup companies at Highway 1 and at UCSD.
Phil has developed over 100 products for companies including Apple, Seiko, Polaroid, Polycom, Barnes & Noble, Vantage Robotics, Think Outside, Pono and others.
Baker is the author of “From Concept to Consumer: How to Turn Ideas Into Money” from The Financial Times Press. The book is based on his professional experience in product development and marketing, and is a very practical guide for those thinking about developing their own products.
Phil writes a weekly technology column for PJ Media, Techpinions and for his own blog, BakerOnTech.com.
Phil has a BS Physics from WPI, MS Engineering from Yale, and an MBA from Northeastern. He holds more than 30 patents and is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for consumer products.
