Anne Merritt

An emergency medicine physician and healthcare consultant with over ten years of experience in healthcare delivery, medical education, clinical research, and quality improvement.

Anne Merritt is a clinical instructor in Emergency Medicine at Stanford University. As a physician leader, she has led cross-functional teams to improve the patient experience, reduce clinical variations in care, and decrease medical errors and adverse events in the hospital. As a clinician educator, she has developed strategies to effectively engage medical students, residents, and physicians in the process of lifelong learning. As a researcher, she has designed studies involving medical simulation and has published articles on drug development and the history of medicine. She is currently a consultant and advisor to companies focused on medical device development, diagnostics, and digital health initiatives.
