Alan Cuddihy

Alan is Head of Sustainability at PCH

Alan has over 11 years of experience in sustainability and supply chain management spanning corporate social responsibility and sustainability, engineering, supplier management and auditing.

Alan joined PCH in 2004 as an Engineering Program Manager. In his current role as Head of Sustainability, Alan is responsible for developing and implementing PCH’s global sustainability practices as well as connecting PCH’s social and environmental performance to financial results.

Alan has worked on many significant projects at PCH such as developing the overall sustainability strategy, to go beyond compliance and focus on the economic benefit of excellence in environmental and social performance. In doing so, he has extended the PCH stakeholder network to include NGOs, industry groups, academics and local communities that continue to ensure positive impact of our work.

He also established numerous energy and process efficiency projects within the supply base and introduced a first-of-its-kind migrant worker community service for factory workers.

Alan has extensive on-the-ground experience in China since 2004 and has played a key role in the shaping of supplier responsibility and the transition to a collaborative approach to supplier development.

In his previous role as Engineering Program Manager, notable projects included the full range of electronic and mobile devices and accessories, headphones solar chargers and lights, medical devices as well as assisting on a number of projects related to external start-ups.

Alan received a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of Limerick, Ireland as well as a Master of Science Degree from the University of Oldenburg, Germany.
