Alina Balean and Karol Munoz founded Luma Legacy while working as freelance designers in New York City.
Karol, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, and Alina, who has a Master’s in interaction design from New York University, saw an opportunity for jewelry to capture the digital memories of modern life.
Brigid Walsh, former director of computational fashion at Eyebeam, and a graduate of the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, joined them.
