Meet the Fall 2016 Cohort

A new month, a new day, a new cohort: Monday, the 1st of August, was the first day for the class of Fall 2016. This time around, the halls of Highway1 play host to seven excellent teams with founders from all over the country, the latest to join our roster of 67 startups who've raised more than $100M in funding. Startups in this class are working on action sports, augmented reality, athlete recovery, and enterprise IoT.

Without further ado, say hello to the Fall 2016 cohort:

RecoverX has developed the world’s first digitally controlled smart cold and heat pack for injured individuals. The pack provides optimum recovery by regulating the precise temperature and time for both cold (50-60°F) and heat therapies (104-113°F).

Cue is an intelligent device that allows businesses to automate conversations with customers, saving time and money.

Cloudastructure is a cloud-controlled physical infrastructure company providing enterprise solutions for Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) and Door Access Control as a Service (ACaaS), as well as integration with other sensors to support IoT applications.

FLO LABS has created the first intelligent personal assistant for the outdoors, streamlining all the information you need for your next adventure. Their first product is a connected device for surfers that learns your habits and preferences with every session and makes personalized recommendations about where and when to go and what gear to use.

Lampix uses object recognition to project object- and context-relevant buttons and menus for different actions onto a surface. Users’ finger movements on the appropriate buttons and menus trigger specific computer actions.

Ommo is building the most precise 3D position tracking technology that requires no line of sight and works in any direction. The technology enables true immersive experience in AR and VR scenarios and has a wide range of applications across diverse markets.

Peeq is a personalized mobile broadcasting system built to catch every moment for you. Using distributed cameras surrounding a playing field and individual motion trackers on each player, the system can capture highlights and moments, targeting a single player or set of players at any moment. These moments can be knit together to become a highlight reel available for analysis, distribution, and promotional material.
